We recently received this ...

The primary reason we were receiving it was because we attempted to have both Notes 8 and Notes 7 on the same machine.

When Notes 8 starts up it looks for the license key in the directory specfied in the computers Registry. If the lst version you installed was Notes 7 it will then look in that version's app directory. The license key did not exist for Notes 7 and therefore Notes 8 cannot locate it. Hence the message you are receiving.

Our solution was to install Notes 8 last. That way the registry points to that version's app directory. This of course causes some issues for our developers since they primarily still require the functionality of Notes 7, but w are working through that as well ..
